Highlights from December Part 3

This post marks the end to my trying to catch up! Yahoo! Two final big highlights from December:

Number One: the Arendse family came to visit us! What a special time of fellowship- it went by too quickly. The children loved every minute of it & us adults had fun staying up late, talking and playing Settlers of Catan. Jeanelle & I enjoyed going to Archivers one afternoon to buy each other items to make family scrapbooks. We've decided to do this each year for Christmas instead of buying individual items for everyone. FUN! Most of my pictures from our time together are still on the camera waiting to be downloaded, so here are just a few:

(As you can see, Abigail received a lot of love!)

We had fun but it was all a bit tiring:

Number Two: on December 31st, Benjamin and Patricia completed reading the entire Bible in one year! This was Patricia's second year in a row and Benjamin's first. What a blessing to have God's Word dwell in their thoughts and minds at such a young age. Daddy, Mama and Matthias will join them this year (I didn't finish reading the Bible in one year last year), though Matthias is only reading one chapter a day & started with the New Testament.

Finally, let me share this "random" pic- my father made this hat for Abigail for Christmas (actually, he made hats for each of the children- he even fair isle some of them! WOW!):

We had a wonderful time and miss you all very much. Settlers of Catan was so much fun. And I am excited to get my family album finally started.

The hats your dad made were amazing!

Excellent job on your Bible reading children. God will surely bless the time you spend reading His Word and will grow you in wisdom and Grace. You inspire us to keep on pushing on!

Love,
Auntie Jeanelle
