The Simple Woman's Daybook: Janurary 10, 2010

FOR TODAY
January 11, 2010...
Outside my window... it is dark.
I am thinking... over this quote from this book that Eric read from tonight during our family worship: Little things that seem unimportant to us today are essential parts of God's plan for tomorrow. If we neglect little things by focusing on doing big things, we miss valuable training designed to make us useful in God's Kingdom.
I am thankful for... for how well lessons went today!
From the learning rooms... math and latin papers need to be checked by mama!
From the kitchen... dishes need to be done b/c the children didn't have time to do them because we finished dinner late tonight. Er!
I am wearing... pjs! (Yep, I know it is early (8:30) but it is dark outside and they feel so cozy.)
I am creating... new layout for the children's history notebooks.
I am going... to try to get in bed on time tonight! ;)
I am reading... "Elizabeth Prentiss: More Love to Thee".
I am hoping... to be consitent with going to bed & getting up at a descent hour this week.
I am hearing... Abigail's toys ring as she hits them. Fun, fun, fun!
Around the house... most of the littles are sleeping- they worked & played hard today and, therefore, they fell asleep fast. Yahoo!
One of my favorite things... Chipotle. Yum!
A few plans for the rest of the week: finish my mending projects so I can start a new sewing project. (This was my plan for last week but it didn't get done!)
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... this amount of snow SHUT DOWN Atlanta this past week! Seriously- schools closed & our dentist called to see if we wanted to reschedule... all over less than an inch of snow and a wee bit of ice. Oh, my! The children were THRILLED to see snow!

That is sooo funny. We got a bunch more today, I wasn't so thrilled to go to tumbling.

I'm glad lessons went well today! It is hard for the mommy & littles getting back into routine. Tomorrow will be another day :)

That is a lot of pink Miss Lizzie is wearing. Love it!
