Living in the South

Eric and I are beginning to think that living in the South is WAY over-rated. Why? Because it is mid-February and we have already begun to battle bugs. Really big, icky ones called "waterbugs" in these parts. (Which is just a fancy way of saying "cockroach.") Eeewww! It makes me shiver (and usually scream) every time!

The winter has gone from cold to warm to cold again, which has encouraged the bugs to come looking for a toasty place to live. That isn't too hard with this house- nothing is sealed right. Ugh. Looks like I'll be adding to our post about creatures soon!

As I was told in macon...In florida they call them palmetto bugs, in Georgia we call them what they are "Tree Roacjes"...one of the best things you can do is keep the drains of your sinks and tub sealed when not in use. They come up the pipes.
