Simple Woman's Daybook: October 19, 2010

FOR TODAY
October 19, 2010...

Outside my window... sunny & fairly warm (low 80s).
I am thinking... about trip preparations. Eric and I leave next Monday!
I am thankful... for the time with Eric's family last Saturday. It had been over 5 years since we last saw Eric's aunt, uncle & cousin.
From the learning rooms... reading, piano & math till after our trip.
From the kitchen... these fabulous meatballs for dinner. YUM! And, EASY! And, you can freeze 'em! You have to try them!
I am wearing... denim skirt, black tee & gray draped cardigan.
I am creating... finishing up Elizabeth & Abigail's fall dresses, as well as a baby gift. AH!
I am going... to New Zealand in less than a week. Yahoo!
I am reading... no time!
I am hoping... that we stay healthy this week & during our trip.
I am hearing... "Fun & Prophets" by Jamie Soles.
Around the house... laundry needs to be folded. I should probably deep clean before my parents come to watch the children.
One of my favorite things... the smell of fall.
A few plans for the rest of the week: piano lessons, hair appts, piano recital, packing.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... family pic from Saturday:

Wow, next week! How exciting. We'll be praying for you all :)

I agree with the meatballs, everyone should try them! I put them in some tomato sauce in the crockpot and served them as an appetizer a couple of weeks ago; there were none remaining.

Why do you need a cardigan with low 80s?

[hugs]

Warm outside but it was cool in the house. ;)

Thanks for your prayers!

Hope you have a lovely time! You must post pics! :)
Thanks for "reminding" me about the meatball recipe - I actually had it in my recipe folder, and I need meatballs for Saturday. (I'm lazy and usually just brown some ground meat and add it to pasta sauce for spaghetti, but I can't do that for guests! :) )
