Simple Woman's Daybook: December 6, 2010

FOR TODAY
December 6, 2010...

Outside my window... dark- too early for light.
I am thinking... about what to get Abigail for Christmas. Ideas, anyone???
I am thankful... that our friends, who were adopting, brought home their new baby boy this past weekend. Praise God!
From the learning rooms... history & science this week, I hope!
From the kitchen... leftovers. Lots of 'em!
I am wearing... pjs.
I am creating... this cardigan. Oh, and Christmas letter.
I am going... to try to get a nap today. I'm exhausted.
I am reading... ??? Been too busy sewing or knitting to read much. Sigh. I miss reading.
I am hoping... to buy fabric this week for these skirts for the girls. FUN!
I am hearing... furnace hum, though it isn't very effective.
Around the house... the Christmas tree looks & smells wonderful! :)
One of my favorite things... Burt's Bee Lip Shimmer. The champagne is my favorite color.
A few plans for the rest of the week: our last lesson with our piano teacher. :( Please join us in praying for God's guidance in finding a new teacher.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... romantic sunset in New Zealand:

Audio Books? Christianaudio.com has a free download of Calvin Stapert's book on Handle's Messiah this month. I've heard great things about it (I have the book, wish I hadn't bought it when I could get the audio for free, ah well)

Sorry to hear about your piano teacher, I know you really liked her :(

Yes, we are all very sad to loose Mrs. McKeown. But we do rejoice to see the Lord working in their lives- they are moving to Texas so that her husband can head up the Spanish program at the PCA seminary. We'll miss them but hopefully we can stay in touch when we visit the Arendse family.

Did you make the cardiagan you are wearing? And did you say you started over on your shawl that you are making? All that work...I would have given up. Wish we could do sewing projects together!

I'm re-starting the cardigan- not too big of a deal b/c it only took 1.5 weeks to make. That is pretty fast for knitting! It was just too tight for my liking.
