Simple Woman's Daybook: July 18, 2011

FOR TODAY
July 18, 2011...

Outside my window... the hot weather has returned after a few days of cooler temps. :(
I am thinking... I need a nap today.
I am thankful... for yesterday's message preached about how God is our comfort during times of sorrow.
From the learning rooms... new explorers for history this week, which means new books to read. That means EXCITED children.
From the kitchen... more peaches line the counters. I think I'll be done preserving blueberries & peaches after this week. Yeah! On to zucchini!
I am wearing... black tee w/ brown capris- cleaning clothes.
I am creating... a Christmas gift for a friend (few more rows & I'm done) & hoping to start the curtains for the ER.
I am going... to let littles sleep as long as they want this morning. We're all tired from a busy weekend!
I am reading... the same books.
I am hoping... our van is fixed this week.
I am hearing... fans hum.
Around the house... it's messy!
One of my favorite things... new material waiting to be cut & sewed into something.
A few plans for the rest of the week: finish freezing fruit; lots of lessons; hopefully a lot of sewing.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... birthday ice cream with my parents (this was Abigail's first real cone- she was very happy unless you moved to take it away):

Wow ... that's a lot of non-chocolate ice cream in those pictures! Looks like fun, anyway [grin] ... but not Graeters!
