Recipe: Improving a Childhood Memory

I have found memories of my mother's no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. Chocolate & peanut butter- yum! I remember helping her make them & lining our counters with parchment paper for the cookies to cool. But I've never made them because they had so much sugar in them.

Yesterday I came across this recipe for theses cookies & we were are delighted with the results! Easy, a bit healthier (you use maple syrup vs sugar) & yummy! Here are a few thoughts about this recipe:

- I used maple syrup vs sugar, which is healthier but it is also pricey. These cookies will have to be a special treat.
- I only used 3/4 cup of syrup & will try 1/2 next time (I always cut back on sweeteners).
- I added 1/2 cup more of oats.
- The recipe makes more than 16.

Enjoy!

Thanks! These are Jason's favorite cookies.

Unaccountable, I know.

Have been looking for your email address to no avail. I no longer cloth diaper. :( It's a long story, much better for in-real-life chats! Are you still in GA? Perhaps at the GHEA conference next year? :)

That said, I have not heard any of my friends with front loaders talk about stripping diapers. I think it would be hard since they use so much less water. Have you tried looking on The Diaper Pin for info?
