Simple Woman's Daybook: February 13, 2012

FOR TODAY
February 13, 2012

Outside my window... dark. It was a beautiful sunny day earlier.

I am thinking... Patricia needs to stop knitting & go to bed. :)

I am thankful... all of the planning I accomplished today. I'm especially thankful for my wonderful hubby who cared for the littles while I worked.

In the kitchen... we had Shepherd's Pie for dinner.

I am wearing... socks on my feet. That's highly unusual!

I am creating... Jonathan's blanket.

I am going... to continue work on my planning while we watch a movie. Yeah for laptops!

I am wondering... if Emily will sleep through the night despite her cold. Poor thing!

I am reading... not much this past week due to sickness.

I am hoping... Emily's cold is almost over & no one else gets sick!

I am looking forward to... to lessons with the Coppocks tomorrow!

I am learning... new recipes for prepping grains.

Around the house... lots of laundry needs to be done tomorrow b/c I didn't do any today. :(

I am pondering... ??? It's kinda of late for pondering.

A favorite quote for today... I have memory songs screaming in my head after spending majority of the day organizing memory work. I played them over and over on iTunes today in the (vain) hopes of learning them. The children always do better at that than mama. :(

One of my favorite things... Patricia's knitting.

A few plans for the rest of the week: lessons w/ the Coppocks and piano lessons. I'm going to try to do a lot of planning & paperwork in the evenings. (If I can stay awake. LOL)

A peek into my day... okay, this is a peek into my day when the Arendses' visited. Here I am teaching all of the little girls. You'll notice that we were all having a bad hair day. :) (I miss you, Miss Kathryn!):

We had Shepherd's Pie last night, too. I kind of looked through a few recipies online, but I didn't have all the ingredients, so I threw something together with what I had, and it turned out pretty well. :)

I love shepherd's pie.

I also like seeing pictures of my friend, even if it is only part of her :)
