Simple Woman's Daybook: September 24, 2012

FOR TODAY
September 24, 2012

Outside my window... cool today but back into the 80s the rest of the week. It finally felt like fall this past weekend! Guess I should drag out the decorations...

I am thankful... for time with my family this past weekend. They're my favorite people! :)

In the kitchen... the freezer is packed with a 1/4 of a cow! :)

I am wearing... a pretty scarf with my outfit. Yeah for fall!

I am creating... my sweater, Patricia's Christmas gift & an embroidery piece with a fall theme. Hopefully I can FINISH something this week!

I am going... to the dentist in a bit. Wish I could just stay home today!

From the learning rooms... plugging along. :) Patricia starts vocabulary this week using this.

I am reading... lots of health-related material. Listening to several things too.

I am hoping... to get LOTS done this week. Probably more of a hope than a reality though. Mondays are always so promising.

I am looking forward to... apple picking & applesauce making soon.

I am learning...

Around the house... it's really messy! :( Hopefully our friends can ignore it when they visit today!

I am pondering... food. I like pondering this topic!

A favorite quote for today... “Think long and hard about the way you invest your children’s time. Time is treasure. And where your time investment is, there you will find the heart of a child. Invest the majority of his time in entertainment, and his heart will be turned to love of pleasure. Invest his time in peers rather then family, and his heart will be with the peers more than his family. There is a time and place for all good things in balance, but wise parents will steward the treasure of time, and in so doing, shepherd their children’s hearts.” - Doug Phillips from his blog.

One of my favorite things... our Vitamix!

A few plans for the rest of the week: dentist appt & lessons with Coppocks today, piano lessons. Apple picking & sauce making???

A peek into my day... my little helper:
