Simple Woman's Daybook: January 10, 2011

FOR TODAY
January 10, 2011...

Outside my window... around SIX INCHES of SNOW!!! Plus, some ice. The whole Atlanta area is shut down.
I am thinking... we're not going anywhere anytime soon. Temperatures will not rise above freezing till Wednesday. Yuck.
I am thankful... for shelter from storms.
From the learning rooms... folding in some new things this week- hope it goes well!
From the kitchen... Beef and Orange Stir-Fry.
I am wearing... black tee, long brown sweater & trouser jeans. It's too cold for a skirt.
I am creating... still knitting the fox & making the girl's skirts, plus I started crocheting this blanket for Jonathan. He is super-excited. :)
I am going... to try to update our blog format this week. I'd like tabs so I can list recipes, some educational resources, & my reading list for this year. I'm going to need Eric's help!
I am reading... "Large Family Logistics" by Kim Brenneman.
I am hoping... to sew some in a bit.
I am hearing... dishwasher hum.
Around the house... Eric is working from home today! :)
One of my favorite things... raw milk. YUM.
A few plans for the rest of the week: we're home this week! :) Hoping to have friends come Friday night for dinner.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... truly, we are blessed from the Lord:

I thought of you when I heard GA was going to get hit by a storm. Glad you're staying cozy! Very nice photo of your kids. :)

Me too, MHA ... especially since she bequeathed me all their snowpants when they moved south [grin]

Love the picture! You should change the one at the top.

Good idea, Dawn! We went looking for the snow pants today... and then realized that we gave them to you. We just layered everyone in two pairs of everything. They had a blast in the snow!
