Simple Woman's Daybook: January 11, 2011

FOR TODAY
January 3, 2011...

Outside my window... still dark from the wee hours of morning.
I am thinking... that it is sad that Eric has to go back to work today. We're going to miss him (and the extra naps I got while he was home)!
I am thankful... for the time of worship yesterday.
From the learning rooms... back to our revised schedule today!
From the kitchen... cobb salad w/ bread for dinner.
I am wearing... purple sweater w/ jean skirt.
I am creating... still need to start the girl's skirts. I have been working on knitting this fox. He's adorable!
I am going... to make some phone calls about a new piano instructor. Still searching. :(
I am reading... "Ten P's in a Pod" by Arnold Pent III & "Large Family Logistics" by Kim Brenneman.
I am hoping... that we find a new piano instructor soon!
I am hearing... little begin to talk/wake.
Around the house... lots of laundry awaits me. And that huge pile of ironing...
One of my favorite things... learning alongside my children as Eric and I teach them.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Benjamin has an ortho appt, other than that- we're home! :)
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... the Christmas stocking I finished:

Love the stocking! Great job!

I want to know what your think about Large Family Logistics ... even though I don't have a "large" family. Maybe I can borrow it sometime :)

The book is well worth reading, even if you do not have a "large" family! I've read Kim's blog ever since Patricia was a baby & gleaned so much from her. We're back to her suggestion of different household categories per day & it is working so much smoother. (Wondering why I stopped?!?!) We plan on buying the book for the girl's hop chests.
