Simple Woman's Daybook: February 28, 2011

FOR TODAY
February 28, 2011...

Outside my window... dark. Quiet after storms.
I am thinking... about houses- we're in the midst of searching for one.
I am thankful... safety during the storms this evening.
From the learning rooms... we are really enjoying our science. Mama's learning just as much (if not more) than the littles.
From the kitchen... I really need to shop! Been weeks.
I am wearing... pjs.
I am creating... nothing... except for lists of houses to see to possibly buy.
I am going... to run Abigail to the DR tomorrow morning- strange bump needs explanation.
I am reading... "Memories Before and After the Sound of Music: An Autobiography" by Agathe Von Trapp.
I am hoping... we find a house to buy soon. Eric & I both do not enjoy the process.
I am hearing... quietness- it's almost bedtime.
Around the house... piles & PILES of laundry need folding.
One of my favorite things... being home on Saturdays. We haven't been lately b/c of our house searching and we all miss it.
A few plans for the rest of the week: dentist appt here (kids LOVE it!) & piano lessons. May need to search for more homes if our current offer doesn't go through.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... Abigail loves to "narrate" our lessons too, especially when she can sit in a chair next to her big brother:

We got some pretty strong storms early Monday morning, too. Not too conducive to sleep. :( The power was out for a couple of hours when we first got up, thankfully not too long.

Hope you soon find a house!

Abigail's hair is getting long! So adorable. David commented, "Poor Benjamin," when he saw all that he had to write for science. Miss you all and praying for you to find a house soon. We need an excuse to come visit!!

Tell David that Benjamin LOVES to write. :) We're encouraging all of the children to love reading & writing b/c they need to communicate God's truths to the world.

You try telling David! He has other good ways of communicating God's love to others but this is definately a challenge. Reading is going very well! He has finished several chapter books and is enjoying it. He is reading the Hobbit right now and intends on reading through the whole serires, one of his favorites.
