Simple Woman's Daybook: April 12, 2011

FOR TODAY
April 12, 2011...

(A day late.)

Outside my window... lots of blooms on the ground after last night's storms. :(
I am thinking... about packing... guess I should DO something with those thoughts. ;)
I am thankful... for a good night's sleep. I really needed that!
From the learning rooms... studying the explorers Leif Eriksson & Christopher Columbus this week for history.
From the kitchen... Lemony Cabbage-Avocado Slaw as a side tonight. No one excited but me.
I am wearing... black buttoned shirt w/ colorful skirt.
I am creating... haven't worked on anything in awhile- maybe tonight?
I am going... try using the Duggar's method of packing & organizing. 15 minutes a day / color-coded system.
I am reading... "The Duggars: 20 and Counting!"
I am hoping... Jonathan & I get better soon. We're the last to recover from colds that just keep hanging on.
I am hearing... Judy Roger's music.
Around the house... morning chores are being done.
One of my favorite things... our Memory Time.
A few plans for the rest of the week: piano lessons & hiking with our Contenders & Keepers groups. Fun!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... Benjamin & Elizabeth ready for church this past Sunday (Patricia wore the same dress when she was little- ah, memories):

I read that as lemony cabbage avocado STEW and wondered what you were doing to your family.

Slaw sounds much better ... where's the recipe from?

If you click the link, it will take you to the Whole Foods site. How did last night go? So jealous! And, yes, slaw does sound better than stew. :)

Oops ... it wasn't a link in my reader (or I didn't register that it was).

Last night? Book Club is Thursday if that's what you're asking about. Last night was fine, though :)

Oh how I miss not seeing these beautiful pictures of the children. They so love each other.
