Simple Woman's Daybook: November 14, 2011

FOR TODAY
November 14, 2011...

Outside my window... dark and cold.
I am thinking... over what needs to be done before company arrives. Yikes!
I am thankful... for the time of worship yesterday as a family! YAHOO!
From the learning rooms... we start a new math curr this week- everyone is very excited. Mama is a bit nervous.
From the kitchen... several frozen meals this week (look for my menu plan later today) that I made while I was pregnant. This has been such a blessing! I need to restock the freezer for next month!
I am wearing... a jacket! It's chilly in the house this morning.
I am creating... Emily's blanket. Will it EVER end?
I am going... to do lots of cooking & baking today with the children.
I am reading... "She Shall be Called Woman" and "Large Family Logistics."
I am hoping... to start lessons tomorrow.
I am hearing... washer sing- time to switch another load! Now if only the dryer could FOLD the laundry...
Around the house... I started laundry at 6 am this morning. I figured I was up anyway! :)
One of my favorite things... educating my children! (And learning right alongside them!)
A few plans for the rest of the week: we're HOME this week! :) Lots of planning/cleaning to do before Thanksgiving & company. Oh, and my brother is spending the night Friday.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing... isn't Emily's hat adorable?

Not as cute as she is!

What math are you gonna use? MEP?

No, though I strongly considered it. We're using Singapore. Eric & I decided that I needed more hand-holding in my teaching & a curr to help us get through concepts consectively.

Singapore is pretty great, from all I've read (haven't even looked at it much) I'm considering purchasing the Challenging Word Problems to supplement with.
