Simple Woman's Daybook: August 20, 2012

FOR TODAY
August 20, 2012

Outside my window... mid-80s this week. Yahoo!

I am thankful... that Abigail is doing well- we think she was bit by a spider on Saturday.

In the kitchen... Caesar salad (homemade dressing- yum!) with chicken tonight.

I am wearing... denim skirt with tee.

I am creating... Christmas gift for Patricia. :)

I am going... to take Matthias to pick up his glasses tonight. That makes three in glasses this year!

From the learning rooms... we start our new science today. :) History will have to wait one more week since the Coppocks can't come this week. The children will be sad.

I am reading... Building Her House by Nancy Wilson.

I am hoping... we get more done this week- we were busy last week but got little done!

I am looking forward to... continuing to use my new elliptical! :) (It's my early anniversary gift. I asked for it!)

I am learning... how out of shape I am! :( I started working out again last week. WOW! It's sad!

Around the house... lots of laundry awaits me today!

I am pondering... home education.

A favorite quote for today...

One of my favorite things... feeling healthier by working out regularly. The process isn't one of my favorite things but the results are.

A few plans for the rest of the week: piano tuning & lessons. Maybe grocery shopping.

A peek into my day... we had to take Abigail into the DR yesterday to check her hand (she's doing well but please pray for complete healing):

We are doing botany, too, using Apologia's Exploring Creation with Botany.
Praying Abigal is better soon. We've had some spider bites here, but never that bad!

Again, thank you for the prayers! Already today her hand is much better. She has been great through it all! :)

Wish I had started botany in the spring but I think it will work! We are joining the botanical gardens. :)

Glad Abigail is better. What did she think of the doctor's visit?

I'm getting my eyes checked soon. I might be joining the eye glasses club. Guess it is my age??

Miss you all so much!
