We packed away Christmas decorations today. Each year, we celebrate the advent season leading up to Christmas with various activities, special treats & trips with the children. It's nothing very "spiritual" and yet, here's something that's really spiritual for this mama: delighting in her children & having fun with them! Both the children & I really look forward to these special moments in December. (And often Eric enjoys joining in also.)
Anyway, in an effort to keep things real around here, I thought you'd should know how many advent activities we did this year: one. Yep, uno. Kinda sad but very real.
Hopefully, next year will be different but if not, that's okay. Remember this post? No pressure to do more. Commitment to contentment. And you know what? We had a happy, wonderful Christmas season even without all the advent activities! I hope you did too!
